Housing Consultants Group Secures New Funding to Expand Homeownership Opportunities
Greensboro, NC — December 2025
Housing Consultants Group (HCG) is proud to announce two significant funding partnerships that will strengthen our mission to increase homeownership opportunities for first-time buyers and underserved communities in Guilford County.
The Mary Lynn Richardson Fund has awarded HCG a grant of $7,500 to support programs designed for first-time, low-income homebuyers. This funding will help HCG continue providing education, counseling, and resources that empower families to achieve the dream of homeownership. The grant underscores the Fund’s commitment to charitable initiatives that create lasting impact in our community.
In addition, the Tannenbaum-Sternberger Foundation has approved a $25,000 grant to provide operational support for HCG’s efforts to convert renters into homeowners, particularly among low- to moderate-income African American households in Guilford County. This investment will enable HCG to expand outreach, strengthen partnerships, and deliver innovative solutions to address housing disparities.
“These generous contributions from the Mary Lynn Richardson Fund and the Tannenbaum-Sternberger Foundation reflect a shared vision for building stronger, more equitable communities,” said Sofia Crisp, Executive Director, HCG. “With their support, we can help more families transition from renting to owning, creating stability and generational wealth.”
Both grants will be used exclusively for their designated purposes and align with HCG’s long-standing commitment to financial education, housing counseling, and advocacy for affordable homeownership.
